The Ryde-Gladesville Climate Change
Action Group

A politically unaffiliated group of concerned residents who wish to see immediate & decisive action on the most important issue of our time. We will:

  • Make government leaders aware of the strong desire for decisive action in the community - our position
  • Inform community members about actions they can take
  • undertake local community-based projects to address climate change

Our group now has approximately 450 supporters as well as a core group of eight. These supporters are local residents who have signed on through our website, after speaking to us at schools and local events, or after participating in our activities.

New Coal-Fired Power Stations

Coal PlantThe New South Wales Government is planning to build new coal fired power stations!

If you are concerned about this (and you should be) write to your State MP to let the Government know that you are strongly opposed to such action.

Contact us if you would like us to send you a draft letter that you can sign and post.

Read this fact sheet for more information about the impact of such new coal-fired power stations.

Now is the time for us all to call on the Government to cease such environmentally destructive policies and your voice, more than ever, is needed.
